I haven't used a bar of soap in about 25 years, but this one isn't really soap! I have dry skin and rosacea which I manage with carefully selected products and foods. I was skeptical about using this soap on my face, but was pleasantly surprised. Although I already loved using it in the shower on the rest of my body, I was afraid my face would feel dry. It doesn't! It leaves my face feeling slightly tight but the skin feels soft and soothed. I only wish I had a more convenient way to keep it on my sink.

I tried this soap as my sensitive skin with psoriasis spots reacted to the traditional shower gels and to my surprise my skin felt amazing! The psoriasis spots didn't react at all, in fact they got a bit better after using this soap! My skins feels nourished, smooth and I no longer have to use body lotion after showering. The smell is naturally fresh, earthy and subtle. I'd recommend this soap to anyone! (Posted on 12/1/09)

This bar of soap is fantastic. I love the refreshing scent the soap has as I am using it and also the way my bathroom smells just from the soap sitting in my shower. I have sensitive skin and usually I can only use bar soaps that are made for sensitive skin. The Antiochia bar soap is not only sensitive enough for my body but also for my face. After washing with some bar soaps there is a sticky residue left on my skin but with the Antiochia my skin feels soft and moisturized. I would definitely recommend giving this bar of soap a try; you won't regret it! (Posted on 6/10/09)

I tend to be pretty sensitive to fragrance and though I've always loved the way Bath & Body type lotions and soaps smell at first whiff, I find that they become overpowering or even give me a headache after continued exposure. The bath bar was not only mild enough to use on both my face and my body (I ALWAYS use a special soap for my face) and moisturizing enough that I could skip body lotion, but it had a pleasant scent that never overpowered or kicked my body into hypersensitive overdrive. It's great to have a subtle, pleasant fragrance and super soft skin all day long. I even felt comfortable enough to use it on my newborn. This is a great soap bar and has earned a permanent place in our shower. I can't recommend it highly enough. As a side benefit, the bar has enough olive oil content that it easily removed even my most stubborn eye makeup so really it replaced 3 items - body soap, face soap and makeup remover.

The bar is a bit large until it begins to melt away - but as far as "cons" go, having too much product is a pretty good problem to deal with. (Posted on 5/18/09)

This is a wonderful little bar of soap. I have fairly temperamental skin which is dry and very sensitive most of the time. When I first tried the soap I was surprised that it didn’t suds as much as some soaps, but it left my skin feeling so soft with no oily residue. My skin was no longer tight or dry. I got out of the shower feeling refreshed and happy that I had the opportunity to try something new and different. It is one of the most enjoyable products in my shower.
